Coaches decided to use quite the same roster as in previous games. We still struggled with the central line. It’s not something new for our coaches, the character and effort played a great role for our coaches.
It was a hard battle from the first faceoff. We have plenty of powerplay chances during the whole game even in the last minutes of regular time. The hardest moment happened when Lukas Radil at the beginning of the second got a major penalty. We survived during all PK opportunities. Maxim Tsyplakov replaced him in the first line.
Both goalies played very solid, Spartak tried to play with short shifts increasing the tempo of the game. Unfortunately, in overtime, CSKA decided the game right after they won the faceoff in our zone.
It was only the first game and we’ll return to action on Friday.
