After few days of the rest our coaches decided to make a number of changes first of all Emil Djuse watched the game from the stands and our lineup was similar to that one we had at the start of the season.
We started well, Martin Bakos scored on the powerplay at the 6th minute. Later Kunlun Red Star scored twice during their powerplay opportunities. One of these goals was scored by Vyacheslav Leshchenko, our ex-forward. It was a hard second period, our team anyway found a way to tie the game. We had a pretty good shift that was finished by Artyom Serikov.
It was unpredictable that after the first 24 seconds of the third we’ll have a 4-2 lead. The team scored two goals in a 6-second span breaking the team’s record in KHL. Kunlun Red Star returned to the game quickly, Hunter Shinkaruk kept the game alive. It was hard last minutes of the play however Sergei Shirokov sent an empty-netter to kill the game.
