Ilya Zubov missed tonight’s game due to injury. Spartak dominated on the ice from the first shift. Unfortunately, we conceded a puck after an unlucky rebound from Alexander Nikishin’s shot. Kazan made only seven shots on goal in the first 40 minutes of the game.
At the beginning of the third Mikael Wikstrand doubled their lead on powerplay. In this episode Yakov Rylov tried to stop the puck but it went into our net. We managed to score from our third powerplay. Anatoly Nikontsev cut their lead with a nice blast. With 2:49 to play Robin Hanzl tied the game.
In overtime Yakov Rylov joined the rush and helped us to get important two points. We finished the road part of the season and will finish the regular season at home with a good chance to clinch a playoff spot.
