In first 20 minutes nothing important happened on the ice. Teams totally made 11 shots on goal, and only one of them was dangerous. That shot led to our first goal of the night when Anatoly Nikontsev scored from the breakaway.
In the second period teams continued to play very accurately, with fewer shots, fewer chances. Young Danil Avershin got some game time this night. Teams exchanged penalties however special teams from the defense side played perfectly.
Late in the beginning Artyom Fyodorov doubled our lead after a perfect pass from Sergei Shirokov when our powerplay time expired. We could have a third shutout of the season however with 2:50 left to play in the game JC Lipon found the back of our net.
Anyway we survived and with six games remaining in the regular season we have the same number of points as Vityaz and good chances for the postseason.
